Good question why unicorns. 64 of the little TY unicorns in total that make up “Unicorn Ops”. There is a story behind each one and a memory. The name does not always match the memory but coming up with 64 of them is a long task.
So why do we have them?
Year’s ago I was with a toxic ex partner. She had a non TY unicorn called Sparkle who ended up in photos when I did not want to be in them. I ended up splitting and a few months later decided a little reminder was needed as sparkle was known in a lot my photos. I can not remember how we ended up with the TY sparkle but she is the “original” TY unicorn. Often getting put in to cabinets at data centres or standing over radios or just being a Mystic Bitch.
I meet my partner Emma and Sparkle decided Emma needed a Unicorn. More like Sparkle wanted a sister so she has Glitter as a unicorn. Following on from this the unicorns decided they need partners. We Sparkle + Steve and Glitter and George. This seem to start a odd feeling of ok they will go in pairs. Nope we was wrong, It was felt the Unicorns needed friends. Bring on Natasha + Ben. This gave the unicorns a set of friends.
One Unicorn holds a more special place who is Lindsay. She is named after my cat who sadly passed away. Lindsay being a royal subject in her own right a positive reminder of her was needed. Bigger than the other unicorns she is often known as Mummy unicorn to the others.
As the family has grown they often brough during a road trip and have now got devided up in to teams. We have:

- End User Unicorns
- Northern Unicorns
- Running Unicorns
Each Unicorn normally gets a name related to what team they are in and someone related to that team. However some are also just named after how much of a pain they can be.
Other deep in to this is actually Sparkle and Glitter are there for me and Emma when we feel a bit nervous or a bit anxious. They act as a little bit of a grounding method.
